Position Scope

The Maintenance Systems Administrator I supports the Maintenance Systems Process Analyst in being the first point of contact for JD Edwards within the Maintenance department and ensures that the maintenance processes are systematically reflected in our ERP system. Assisting in analyzing, troubleshooting, testing, training and reporting; follow up will be the incumbent's main function, as we reconfigure our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), JD Edwards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain business process, system enhancements and modifications to ensure end user functionality remains up-to-date and effective
  • Resolve JDE transaction-type questions within the Maintenance department
  • Assist in the testing, quality assurance and implementation of new releases, modules and functionality
  • Assist in the analysis of business unit processes to identify, evaluate and recommend alternative processing possibilities
  • Assist in ensuring corporate and departmental reporting requirements are met through business process design
  • Manage customer expectations through the collection, review, assessment and response to recommendation for change from users


Qualifications

  • High School diploma
  • Currently enrolled and working towards Management Information Systems Certificate or Diploma or Business Analyst Certificate or Diploma
  • As an entry-level position, educational requirements will be foremost under consideration, and limited experience in a similar role is required
  • In lieu of meeting educational requirements, a minimum of two years of ERP business analyst experience or IT support would be considered
  • Proficient knowledge of computer software especially Microsoft Office
  • Working understanding of computer databases
  • Project Management process
  • Positive attitude
  • Openness to change
  • Ability to work with changing priorities
  • General PC and Windows Internet proficiency
  • Ability to troubleshoot

  • Have experience as requested in the job description above
  • Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:
    • Breath Alcohol Test
    • Urine Drug Test
    • Fitness-to-Work Health Assessment (position dependent)
    • Audiometric Testing (position dependent)
    • Vision Screening (position dependent)

    All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:
  • Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver's License (position dependent)
  • Copy of recent Driver's Abstract (position dependent)
  • VOID cheque/direct deposit form
